I have a 1999 chry cirrus. When I purchased the car the brake lights worked, now they are not working at all.?

I had to change one of the tail lights because the wiring was loose from the harness and after that that's when the brake lights stopped working. I took it to one shop and they changed the fuse but it is blowing the fuses. can someone possibly tell me what I can do, and if it is the electrical system how much it will possibly cost.I have a 1999 chry cirrus.
